General cloud storage keeps your files. It does not give you anything you would show a client. A portfolio site shows your work but is not where the originals live.
The gap between a drive and a portfolio
Most photographers end up running two things at once: a general storage service holding the originals, and something else, a site builder or a social profile, for the version anyone actually sees. The two never agree, and the shareable version is usually the compressed one.
General storage also has a habit of treating photographs as generic files. Folder links that demand a sign-in, previews that re-encode, and terms that reserve broad rights over anything you upload.
Originals stay original
What you upload is what comes back out. Full-resolution export is available at any time, on every plan, so nothing here is a one-way door.
Storage and portfolio are the same thing
Every album has a link, and your photographer page collects them. There is no separate export-and-re-upload step to get from stored to shown.
Location data is never stored
Photobari reads a narrow allowlist of EXIF fields (camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter, ISO, capture date) and never parses GPS. Where a photograph was taken does not leave your own machine.
Never training data
Your photographs are not used to train any AI model, on any plan. This is the promise Photobari exists to keep, not a setting buried in preferences.
You are not locked in by storage limits
The free tier is 5 GB with three albums, and it stays free. If you outgrow a paid plan and stop paying, you drop back to the free tier rather than off a cliff. Nothing is deleted while you are inside its limits.
Where Photobari is the wrong tool
This is not a backup system. It holds finished work you intend to show, not your entire capture archive with every bracketed frame and RAW sidecar. Keep a real backup of the originals as well, which is good practice with any host, this one included.
It also does not do cataloguing, keywording at scale, or a develop module. Photobari starts after the edit is finished.

How much photo storage does Photobari include?
The free tier includes 5 GB with three albums and full-resolution originals, with zero commission, and it stays free. The paid Garden plan is 15 GB with unlimited albums at $36 per year or $5 per month.
Can I export my photos if I leave?
Yes, at any time and at full resolution, on every plan including the free tier. Deleting your account removes your profile, albums and image files from storage.
Does Photobari keep the location data in my photos?
No. Photobari reads only camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter, ISO and capture date from a photograph's metadata. GPS coordinates are never parsed and never stored.
What happens if I stop paying?
You drop back to the free tier rather than losing access. Nothing is deleted while you are within the free tier's 5 GB limit, and full-resolution export remains available.
